The 1st International Conference on Molecules, Polymers and Material Physics (MP2) will be held on August 26-29, 2014 at the campus of Federal University of Amazonas  in Manaus. Brazil.

The conference, first of its kind in this part of the world will provide a unique and rewarding opportunity to put forward and discuss new and emerging ideas in the areas of Molecular Physics, Polymer science and Material Physics being within the world´s largest rain forest. It will serve as a unique platform for the local students and researchers, who are someway isolated by forest, to listen to the recent scientific developments directly from the well-known scientists, to facilitate the exchange of ideas in topics of mutual interests and to establish links between research groups with complementary activities.

The conference will cover the following topics:

• Biomaterials and Biopolymers
• Membranes and bilayers
• Dynamics of Polymers
• Modelling and Simulation in Polymers
• Statistics and Dynamics of/on Networks
• Structure and energetics of molecular systems
• Modelling and Simulation of biomolecules; solvent effects
• Classical and Quantum Transport in molecular systems
• Molecular Spectroscopy
• Nanostructured materials: synthesis and  characterizations
• High-pressure physical investigations
• Amorphous materials

The scientific program will include invited lectures and poster sessions, with ample time for discussion.
